Work Quality

Strategies to fulfill these standards:

Team Participation:

  1. Strategies to ensure cooperation and equal distribution of tasks: Assign roles in advance, roles will be assigned by team leader.

  2. Strategies for encouraging/including ideas from all team members (team maintenance): Do not unconstructively critize other’s work, give ideas freely.

  3. Strategies for keeping on task (task maintenance): Each assignment will be distributed on Messenger.

  4. Strategies to get help if you’re stuck: Consult each other, consult TA’s.

Personal Accountability:

  1. Expected individual attendance, punctuality, and participation at all team meetings: Every individual should be present at team meetings, unless indicated otherwise. If absent, team member should notify the rest of the team 24 hours ahead of time.

  2. Expected level of responsibility for fulfilling team assignments, timelines, and deadlines: Everyone should be expected to fulfill their assigned duty and adhere to all deadlines.

  3. Expected level of communication with other team members: All team members should speak up and be willing to listen to ideas and suggestions from teammates.Team members should update each other if any issues or questions arise.

  4. Expected level of commitment to team decisions and tasks: Each team member should be fully committed to delivering their task well. Team decisions will be made by everyone on a consensus.

  5. How should a team member catch up if they have to miss a meeting: Read meeting minutes and ask team members what their deliverable should be, if necessary.

Consequences for Failing to Follow Procedures and Fulfill Expectations

  1. Describe how, as a group, you would handle individuals who do not live up to this contract: Remind the individual kindly.

  2. Describe what your team will do if these infractions continue: Communicate with the TA.

Team Leadership

Every person on the team will have to take the role as a leader for at least two weeks. The role of the leader will be to organize meetings and make sure that everything is submitted in a timely manner. Here are some hints on what the leader should do. Nov 4th - Nov 17th (Milestone 4): Jacob Glueck

Nov 18th - Dec 5th (Final competition and deadline for the website): Joo Yeon Chae
